New versions of the openair R package (version 0.2-18) and its user manual (26 May 2010) are now available. Although still a work in progress, this version includes new functions for importing UK AURN and LAQN data - entirely using openair and only requiring an Internet connection. It also includes several modifications to existing functions.

The first joint AirTrack and openair workshop, `Towards Smarter Air-Quality Analysis', was held at the Institute of Physics in London on the 1st October 2009.

also for all the comments and feedback, which were very encouragingly.
The first joint AirTrack and openair workshop, `Towards Smarter Air-Quality Analysis', will be held in London at the Institute of Physics on the 1st October 2009.
`Towards Smarter Air-Quality Analysis' will brief participants on some of the novel analysis methods available via the two projects and encourage collaboration in future work and case studies.

Joint workshop with AirTrack

We are currently organising a joint workshop with the AirTrack team. The workshop will be held on the 1st October 2009 and more details will be available soon.
A testing version of the openair R package is now available. Although this is work in progress, there are already many useful functions available to users. Users can download the package and documentation from here

The openair project starts today. The openair project has been funded under the NERC funded knowledge transfer framework develop free, open-source and innovative data analysis tools for the air pollution community.
