openair_0.2-18.zip

This is a PRE-RELEASE of the openair R package (Windows binary). It is provided to allow users to try the functions ahead of its official release. See newsletter for recent changes. Version 0.2-18 (26 May 2010). (Linux and Mac versions also available.)

This is a csv file that contains hourly air pollution and meteorological data. This data set is used extensively in the examples given in the documentation.

This is an Access 2003 database of the data that are used extensively as that in the openair documentation. It contains the same information as "example data long.csv".

The first joint AirTrack and openair workshop 'Towards Smarter Air-Quality Analysis' (1st October 2009; the Institute of Physics, London).

Presentations included:

• Welcome/Introduction (Stephen Loader, NERC). An introduction to NERC, the Knowledge Exchange programme, and their activities focused on the air quality community.

• Drivers, users and approaches for smarter air-quality analysis (Roger Timmis, Environment Agency). Setting the scene for the AirTrack/openair research projects.

• openair: Open-source tools for insights into air quality (David Carslaw, University of Leeds). An introduction to the openair package and its `open-access' environment, R.

• AirTrack: Tracking air-quality performance: applications, implications & challenges (Duncan Whyatt, Lancaster University). Case studies that demonstrate good practices for improved air quality data analysis.

• Emerging technologies for atmospheric monitoring (Ally Lewis, University of York). Emerging air quality measurement techniques and their implications for data analysis.

Posters included:

• Open Source Tools for Insightful Air Quality Data Analysis (David Carslaw, ITS).

• Using Openair to Review Air Quality Monitoring Data in Neath Port Talbot (Tim Chatterton, UWE).

• Characteristic Performance of WRF/CMAQ 2005 (Nutthida Kitwiroon, ERG).
